Paris, September 15th, 2020 – After the acquisition in 2019 of Sparkow, the expert in online shopping experience, the publisher ChapsVision announces a second acquisition in the Retail sector, that of Octipas, the specialist in Order Management Systems and points of sale digitalization.
ChapsVision thus confirms its desire to become a major player in Retail Tech by focusing on the digital transformation of the sector, which is accelerating in the midst of the health and economic crisis. With the relevance of its solutions, Octipas is the company to follow in order to respond to the retailers current problems.
The software publisher ChapsVision was created in May 2019 by Olivier Dellenbach, serial entrepreneur and founder of eFront. The ChapsVision group aims to become one of the European leaders, particularly in Retail Tech, by constituting a coherent whole, with high added value for its customers.
By offering this new nugget, ChapsVision completes the intelligent unified commerce platform of Octipas which now stands out with two major additions: today the digital component is strengthened with the online shopping experience of Sparkow and tomorrow the data component will be enriched by the contributions of ChapsVision. These innovations make the Octipas solution a must for retailers looking for growth.
Indeed, Octipas can now rely on ChapsVision ‘s Data expertise in order to improve the customer journey, to automatically detect relevant product associations or to anticipate customers’ purchasing intentions based on behavioral analysis, current events or third-party parameters (weather, trends, etc.).
For Guillaume Leman, COO Retail de ChapsVision : « Octipas is a major player in the OMS and the digitalization points of sale, which is accelerating rapidly. Its acquisition enables us to complete our Retail offer and to offer the market an intelligent unified commerce platform, meeting the new expectations of customers across all channels. This is particularly relevant in this period of Covid19. As an example, the new appointment scheduling functionality allows us to improve the quality of service and to accelerate the resumption of activity. »
For Nicolas Passalacqua, Founder and CEO of Octipas, « “In recent years, our teams have built one of the best multi-channel solutions on the retail market, capable of supporting retailers throughout their transformation. The biggest brands rely on this offer for their international development, with a ROI success for each of them that we are proud of.”
Joining ChapsVision is a great opportunity for Octipas. It gives us the strength of a large group while maintaining the dynamism of a startup, but also allows us to maintain a corporate culture marked by human values and respect for customers ».
Octipas becomes the Retail brand of the ChapsVision group and includes Sparkow solutions in its offer as of today. Nicolas Passalacqua will oversee the development of Octipas as Chief Product Officer within the group. With this acquisition, the startup will be able to benefit from additional resources, technical and data support to develop new functionalities and the ChapsVision strike force to intensify its international deployment with rapid objectives of presence in Spain and Italy.
Octipas was created by Nicolas Passalacqua to respond to the vital need of retailers to transform and integrate a true omnichannel strategy, by offering a 360° platform reconciling web & stores with features such as OMS, points of sale digitalization, or mobile retail app for sales associates.
More than 1000 stores and e-commerce sites use Octipas, the intelligent unified commerce platform, every day. Among them: LVMH, Celio, Nature & Découvertes, Zadig & Voltaire, The Kooples, etc.
ChapsVision enables companies and public services to solve intelligence and data analysis problems using a powerful cognitive platform for analysts and businesses.
